Vintage Restoration

If you have a vintage piece that has been sitting in a closet for decades, do not just plug it in.

I use a "slow start" method, slowly bringing the amp up to voltage on a variac to minimize the chance for damage and reform the old capacitors if possible. Old electrolytic capacitors eventually dry out and can cause catastrophic damage when fully powered up abruptly.

I offer comprehensive checkups, "cap jobs", and safety upgrades to make these incredible old circuits safe and reliable for modern use without destroying what makes them special.

Let's get it back on stage.
